Klaus K Helsinki
★ Star Rating: 4 Stars
★ Reference Price: Low season double room from NT$ 3,000 | Check Prices
This is the hotel Cherry stayed at when visiting Helsinki! At the time, Klaus K was a "Design Hotel" under the Marriott brand, featuring several uniquely themed rooms. Our stay here was absolutely wonderful—the overall design was incredibly cozy and high-quality. The Sky Terrace bar on the top floor offers stunning views of the beautiful Helsinki cityscape and the Helsinki Cathedral in the distance. It’s truly gorgeous! Although Klaus K is no longer under Marriott, we're not sure if the rooms and breakfast have maintained the exact same vibe. However, one thing is certain: the location is phenomenal! You practically cross the street and you're at Esplanadi Park. In fact, we started our entire Helsinki sightseeing route right from that very park!

This one is incredibly close to the airport—it's practically right next door! It’s another brilliant option for early morning flights, and some rooms even feature their own private sauna. This is actually the hotel we stayed at during our layover in Helsinki. Since we had a late arrival and an early morning departure, choosing the Hilton right by the airport was a no-brainer because we could just walk there. Our overall experience was fantastic! The hotel staff were incredibly friendly. Even though the facilities aren't brand new, they are spotlessly clean. We even got upgraded to a room with a private sauna, which was such a special and unique experience to enjoy a traditional Finnish sauna right in our own room!

When visiting Finland, aside from Helsinki, another incredibly famous must-visit spot is the Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi! Not only can you meet Santa Claus himself, but you can also experience reindeer sleighs and husky sledding—how dreamy is that?! On top of that, you can visit the Arktikum museum to learn all about Finland's history and the origins of the Northern Lights. It's perfectly suited even for those with just a short stay in Finland. We wanted to share this magical Santa Claus Village because Cherry is still kicking herself for not being able to go! Since you've made it all the way to Finland, why not venture up to the Arctic Circle to take a look? If you're traveling with a larger group, you might also want to consider renting a car to get there!
