Before checking in, we had no idea the Beach Villa at Hilton Amingiri Resort would be this captivating! The flawless natural light, stunning views, and brilliant spatial design give the entire villa such a luxurious feel. Even with those massive windows, it still feels incredibly safe and private. It’s just steps away from a pristine white beach dotted with seashells. If you're traveling with kids, we actually recommend this Beach Villa over the Overwater Villa so they can play in the sand right outside! Let's unbox this gorgeous room together~

Since we were traveling with our one-year-old son, our butler specially arranged what is said to be the Beach Villa with the calmest waters in the resort, so our little guy could play in the sand safely. As marked on the map above, we stayed at "Beach Villa 222." Not all Beach Villas face a private stretch of sand, but we got incredibly lucky! The beach right in front of our villa is reserved strictly for guests in this section—there's no public access path, meaning not only are the waters perfectly calm, but the beach itself is incredibly serene. ❤️

Tucked away behind lush plants and trees, the Beach Villa offers fantastic privacy from the outside.

There are two bicycles parked right in the villa's front yard. If you don't feel like calling for a golf buggy to get around the resort, you can always just hop on a bike!

Even as we walked up to the front door, we could catch a glimpse of the sparkling turquoise ocean and fine white sand peeking through from the back.

Inside, the Beach Villa features charming, high vaulted ceilings reminiscent of a fairy-tale cabin.

While Cherry is totally obsessed with high ceilings, the absolute showstopper in the room has to be the incredible three-sided floor-to-ceiling windows! Even with natural light pouring in from three directions, the tall side walls and the practically empty beach out front meant we still felt a strong sense of security and privacy.

The gradient crystal-blue waters of the Maldives outside the front window look literally like a painting.

Looking out the window on the entrance side, you can see lush green grass in the garden. The wall height is absolutely perfect—it completely blocks the view from the neighboring windows!

The floor-to-ceiling window on the remaining side overlooks the villa's private pool. With three windows framing completely different views, it's a visual feast! Because of this, even though the indoor area isn't as massively open as the Overwater Suite, the Beach Villa gives you this wonderful illusion that the space extends infinitely outdoors.

The wood-grain room cards provided by Hilton Amingiri are incredibly chic. We originally thought wooden cards would be heavy, but they are surprisingly light—definitely a memorable touch!

The bedside table holds a phone, notepad, and an alarm clock that doubles as a Bluetooth speaker and wireless phone charger. The bed and pillows are supremely comfortable, but if the default pillows aren't to your liking, there's a pillow menu on the nightstand offering a variety of choices.

The bed isn't pushed up against the wall in the traditional way; instead, it's perfectly centered in the room. Right behind the headboard sits a desk and a small Mini Bar.

Sitting at this desk, the view outside is just too beautiful!

The climate control panel is also tucked away behind the headboard.

The Mini Bar is fully stocked with everything you need for tea and coffee, including a coffee maker, kettle, drinking water, coffee capsules, and tea bags. For a more detailed look at the Mini Bar, check out our 👉🏻 Overwater Suite Villa Review.

The fridge is packed with an assortment of colorful drinks and snacks.

There's a wooden door behind the bed.

Behind it lies a whole other world! There are wardrobes and luggage storage space. When you open the door, you can look straight through the floor-to-ceiling windows into the back garden.

The luggage space in the Beach Villa is noticeably smaller compared to the Overwater Suite—it only held about half of our bags. Thankfully, there was still some floor space to pop open our suitcases.

The items provided in the dual wardrobes are essentially identical to the Overwater Villa. One side holds bathrobes, an ironing board, an iron, and emergency life jackets (if you need snorkeling life jackets, you can ask your butler to borrow some). The other wardrobe features a gorgeous woven beach bag for use around the resort (yours to keep for $60 USD), a mosquito lamp, indoor and outdoor slippers, and a safe.

Spin around, and you're greeted by a bright, spacious bathroom bathed in natural light from two sides. The side facing the back garden is entirely made of floor-to-ceiling windows!

Behind the two frosted glass doors on either side are the toilet and the shower room.

Honestly, the design of this bathroom won my heart even more than the one in the Overwater Villa. The wall behind the vanity is split into two sections: chic white tiling on the bottom and a green upper half that echoes the main wall in the bedroom. Adding this splash of green brings so much warmth to the villa. Compared to the predominantly white Overwater Villa, this space feels more design-forward and a lot cozier!

The ocean-facing view is simply breathtaking. While it might not be a boundless horizon, the scenery from the Beach Villa is so rich and layered. In one glance, you take in the pool, the gazebo, the garden, the beach, and the ocean!

Waking up and brushing your teeth to this view puts you in the absolute best mood!!!

The freestanding bathtub, naturally, claims front-row seats to the ocean view.

The other side looks out into the back garden. With wall-to-wall windows, the natural light is just beyond words.

The toilet room is the only part of the entire bathroom without a window.

This shower is incredible! Not only does it have a full glass wall so you can admire the garden while you shower, but you can also step right out into the garden mid-shower to rinse off outdoors. How cool is that? We were initially worried that the dark outdoors might feel a bit spooky at night, but the garden is beautifully and brightly lit up after dark, making it feel totally secure.

The garden design leans towards minimalist, and we really have to give Hilton Amingiri a huge round of applause here: we didn't get a single mosquito bite in the garden during our stay! Cherry had been eaten alive at the Garden Villa in Reethi Faru previously, which left her with a terrible impression of outdoor showers. Amazingly, the Beach Villa at Hilton Amingiri completely flipped that perception!

The outdoor pool is L-shaped.

Since the pool is right on the beach, mentally, it feels so much safer when traveling with kids.

There's also a super romantic swing chair outside. Just sitting there, gazing at the ocean, and zoning out is pure bliss.

Besides the swing chair, you also have cozy loungers in the pavilion to choose from.

The sand in front of the Beach Villa is powdery white and incredibly soft. The sky and the sea are a flawless, washed-clean blue. Paired with the shore-side villas, this is the true essence of the Maldives! The best part? During our stay, we didn't see a single other guest on the beach—we basically had the whole place to ourselves all day!

For beginner snorkelers, the water on this side is quite shallow, making it much more beginner-friendly than the Overwater Suites!

This might honestly be the most shell-filled beach we've ever seen!

Along with the shells, there are tons of these ultra-mini hermit crabs (like in the photo above). You can witness the quirky spectacle of a whole army of them zooming across the sand at light speed!

Our butler thoughtfully brought over a bunch of beach toys for our son to play with. Getting to play in the sand on such a stunning beach at such a young age… even mom couldn't help but be a little jealous! 🤣

While the indoor space of the Beach Villa at Hilton Maldives Amingiri isn't massive, the natural lighting and views are unparalleled, and that breathtaking beach is literally at your doorstep. Cherry can confidently say this is her favorite room type out of all the resorts she has ever stayed in! It was the first time having that feeling of, "I wish my master bedroom at home looked exactly like this!" Honestly, we were surprised by how deeply we fell in love with this Beach Villa, but after experiencing it firsthand, we finally understand why the Beach Villas here are priced higher than the "standard Overwater Villas." If you ever get the chance, you absolutely must experience it for yourself!

That being said, flying all the way to the Maldives and not experiencing an overwater villa—especially one with a private pool—would feel a bit wrong! We were lucky enough to be upgraded to an Overwater Suite Villa on this trip.
